We are rapidly growing and expanding our go-to-market motion — and we’re looking for a driven, curious, and relationship-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team.

Role Overview 

The BDR will play a critical role in driving pipeline growth by building relationships and creating qualified meetings for the Proven Optics sales team. This role is unique — you’ll split your time between two key motions: 

  • 50% ServiceNow Field Sales Engagement: Building relationships with ServiceNow account executives and solution consultants, aligning with their accounts to co-sell and drive joint customer conversations. 
  • 50% Direct Outreach: Executing targeted outbound campaigns to Proven Optics’ ideal customer profile (ICP) accounts, identifying key personas, and booking meetings for the sales team.

Key Responsibilities 

ServiceNow Seller Outreach (50%) 

  • Identify, research, and build relationships with ServiceNow field sellers and regional teams. 
  • Educate ServiceNow reps on Proven Optics’ ITFM solution and how it complements ServiceNow’s platform. 
  • Drive co-selling activity — align on target accounts, share insights, and create joint customer introductions. 
  • Maintain consistent communication cadence with ServiceNow reps to uncover new opportunities. 

ICP Direct Prospecting (50%) 

  • Execute outbound sequences targeting Proven Optics’ defined ICP (e.g., IT Finance, CIO Office, Budget Owners). 
  • Research accounts and personalize outreach via email, LinkedIn, and calls. 
  • Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings for the sales team. 
  • Track all activity and results in CRM (HubSpot / ServiceNow CRM integration). 

General 

  • Maintain and exceed weekly and monthly activity metrics. 
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and alliances teams to refine messaging and improve conversion rates. 
  • Stay current on ServiceNow ecosystem updates, ITFM trends, and the Proven Optics value proposition.

Qualifications 

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or partner engagement (SaaS or IT industry preferred). 
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow ecosystem is highly preferred. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — comfortable engaging both partners and executives. 
  • Organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple outreach streams. 
  • Experience using HubSpot, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and similar tools. 
  • High energy, curiosity, and a desire to learn enterprise software sales.

  • Developing a repeatable motion for sourcing opportunities through ServiceNow field alignment. 
  • Generating qualified pipeline from both partner-sourced and direct outbound efforts. 
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding meeting and pipeline creation goals. 
  • Serving as the “front door” to Proven Optics — representing our brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
