FITARA Scorecard 14.0 Grades Released

The House Oversight and Reform Committee released version 14.0 of its FITARA Scorecard on July 28th.

According to Meritalk, the FITARA (Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act) Scorecard is issued twice a year by House Oversight and grades the 24 largest Federal agencies for their progress in various IT modernization categories. 

Overall FITARA grades stem from seven key areas – Agency CIO Authority Enhancements, Transparency and Risk Management, Portfolio Review, Data Center Optimization Initiative, Software Licensing, Modernizing Government Technology, and Cyber.

The July 2022 Grades are – 

  • Department of Agriculture – C+
  • Department of Commerce – C+
  • Department of Defense – D+
  • Department of Education – B+
  • Department of Energy – C+
  • Environmental Protection Agency – C+
  • General Services Administration – B+
  • Department of Health & Human Services – B
  • Department of Homeland Security – C
  • Department of Housing & Urban Development – C+
  • Department of the Interior – C+
  • Department of Justice – C-
  • Department of Labor – B-
  • National Aeronautics & Space Administration – C+
  • National Science Foundation – B+
  • Nuclear Regulatory Commission – B
  • Office of Personnel Management – C+
  • Social Security Administration – C+
  • Department of State – B
  • Department of Transportation – D+
  • Department of Treasury – C
  • U.S. Agency for International Development – A
  • U.S. Small Business Administration – C+
