The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, we are seeking an experienced staff accountant to join our fast-growing company.

The Work Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

    • Review and prepare accurate monthly financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP.

    • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, addressing discrepancies and reconciling accounts.

    • NEXUS; manage collection, filing, payment of state sales taxes in multiple states.

    • Evaluate existing accounting processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and automation.

    • Oversee daily transaction processing, month-end close, revenue recognition, and reconciliations

    • Manage special projects and provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

    • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with company, industry, and audit standards.

    • Review and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and provide financial guidance and support.

You Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, operations, or business administration

    • 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a start-up environment

    • Solid foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, and GAAP principles.

    • Proficient in MS Excel, and QuickBooks Online.

    • NetSuite experience

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate work within deadlines; ability to hold yourself accountable.

    • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
