We are taking over the IT Financial Management space and Field Marketing is central to our GTM strategy. This role is right for someone looking to bring their expertise to the table, excited about growing and maturing our Field Marketing practice. This role reports to the Director of Field Marketing & Brand and cross-collaborates across the GTM team.
This is a strategic as well as an execution role, so the ideal candidate is a self-starter with a natural curiosity to learn, grow, and explore with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy, operations, lead generation, event marketing and measurement.
Field Marketing Strategy: Collaborate across the GTM team to develop event strategies for online and offline field marketing events (owned, industry, and ServiceNow events) that include input from product business owners, and align with overall sales initiatives, strategy and branding. You know how to think about overall event design that will drive demand gen activity and achieve measurable results. Plus, you can act as the primary stakeholder and strategy driver for all assigned programs.
Event Operations: Operational excellence with managing budgets, internal/external stakeholders, marketing and creative teams, facilities, shipping, booth builds, booth traffic and engagement activities, and other event logistics. Own field event operations including contract negotiation, managing vendor/partner relationships, development/management of all project plans and timelines, all with the goal of demand gen, lead capture, and sales targets in mind.
Campaign Management & Lead Generation: Work closely with the Director of Demand Generation to strategize, build and execute integrated, omni channel field campaigns. This includes helping drive lead follow-up plans and handling lead nurturing and tracking event ROI and other success metrics at each event.
Event Measurement: Mature measurement criteria and manage feedback loop with cross-functional teams to continually measure program effectiveness – define and refine event metrics as part of overall GTM sales initiatives and marketing objectives. Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to continually refine best practices and calculate the ROI/ROE (return on experience), and other critical revenue driving metrics.
Lead the Field Marketing Function: Grow and evolve our Field Marketing practice and processes. Oversee and develop a team within various marketing functions including marketing events, outside events and ambassador marketing.
6+ years of field marketing, event operations, media and stage production, program management, and/or demand generation experience (preferably in high tech)
Proven success in developing and managing field marketing programs and relationships with large enterprise sales organizations
Prior experiencing managing vendor relationships and/or internal teams/departments
Hands-on execution ability to manage multiple priorities with effective project management, time management, prioritization and organizational skills, with extreme attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of sales
A strong handle on working with budgets, event contracts, expenses & accounts payable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to multitask and take the lead on several events simultaneously
Ability and willingness to easily travel to event locations (approx. 60%)
